Bauer has come in hot in 2022 with brand new updates to the NME goalie mask, now the NME One. A leader in goalie mask development, Bauer’s NME One features new Defense Cloud Tech, a Shock Absorbing Wire system, Advanced Carbon Layering, and a Thermocore Zero sweatband. The NME One hopes to continue beyond the unparalleled performance of the NME goalie mask line.
Shell
The new NME One goalie mask uses Advanced Carbon Layering, or ACL, which is a method of layering carbon fiber in the mask to make it thinner and more durable. As a result of this technology, the NME One is 400 grams lighter than the 960 while being even more protective. Less material and glue were used, making for that lighter construction.
Liner
For 2022, Bauer debuts Defense Cloud Technology in a variety of their new protective products, and the NME One is no exception. DCT liner is found along the side crown and offers increased comfort, form-fitting properties, good sweat management, and a remarkably light weight.
Cage
The NME One is outfitted with an NME Certified Chrome square-wired cage, which offers elite-level protection against shots and sticks. Bauer also integrated shock-absorbing wire hardware, designed to help absorb force on impact from shots, reducing unwanted vibration from the shock. The bars of the cage have increased sightlines to help you view the game better than how you would with a standard square-wired cage.
Please note that we do not carry non-certified cat-eye cages, as they are illegal in most Canadian leagues and are not available for sale in Canada.
Chin Cup
The chin on the NME One has been made thicker and more durable than previous masks from Bauer. The chin is also lined with DCT, the same as the liner.
Sweatband
The sweatband is made of Thermocore Zero, a material used often by Bauer due to its good moisture-wicking, odor-repelling, and cooling properties.
Certification
The NME One provides both HECC (5-year expiry) and CSA certification. The mask is suitable for play in both Canada and the USA with these certifications.
Mask Bag
The NME One comes with a Bauer Padded Mask bag to keep your mask safe from potential damage off the ice. The mask also comes with an additional sweatband, so you can always have a fresh option available.

The Bauer NME ONE Senior Goalie Mask comes in small, medium, and large sizes, and the following colorways: White and Black.
